Value Add Process

NovaStar can manage the de-installation of your equipment and the logistics from your location to ours from anywhere in the United States. Upon arrival, each computer system (and monitor) receives its own specific asset tag number which is scanned and stored in our database for tracking. Our certified computer specialists then audit, test, and provide high level hard disk data erasure for each computer system.

All the equipment is thoroughly cleaned and any and all stickers and tags are removed during the testing/auditing process. U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5200.22 standard wiping scheme or disk destruction is available upon customer request and certificates of data destruction are provided. The serial numbers of the systems wiped or destroyed are noted on the certificate and signed off on by the technician performing the task. A full report noting system make, model, configuration, and serial number along with condition and functionality are provided to the equipment owner.

Equipment is stored in our warehouse which is equipped with a security system (video cameras, motion detectors and wired doors) and a fire sprinkler system. NovaStar is fully insured and bonded.
